My work is playful, low-key and interventionist. I like using mundane and functional materials that anyone can lay their hands on, and the work often has a cartoon-esque, ‘too simplistic’ aesthetic. It is work that would like to think it elevates the everyday, while remaining accessible.

Whether or not it's a performance, it always has a performative element. It interacts with the site it is in and the role of the ‘looker’ - expecting, wanting or needing something from the people that walk past, over, under or around it.

The things I make often play with language, simplicity, interpretation and some things about childhood, including mischief and confusion.

I was awarded the Chisenhale Dance Space/Marlborough Theatre 2016 Small Spaces Commission.
